Spangdahlem Air Base
Ruth and I were hiking through the woods when the national anthem sounded this afternoon, (The German and American national anthems play on loudspeaker at 6am, 5pm and 9pm each day, and when they do, cars park and people stand with their hands on their hearts to show respect.) and when it did, she commented on what it would be like if the world voluntarily stood still for God as they do for the anthem here in Spangdahlem. Think about it. Everyone everywhere-from the subways of New York City to the farm fields of northern Minnesota- all standing still to show respect for their creator.
